The Stars Align with Holly Hollis Stars

This week on The Dharma Project, Stephanie talks to Holly Hollis Stars. She is a blogger, a lawyer, a devoted wife, and a cancer warrior. In this episode, they talk about her cancer journey and what happened to her and her husband during remission. She also shared on how she became a blogger, and how it became a platform on helping fellow cancer patients like her. Like Stephanie, Holly is still in the battle of fighting cancer, receiving all sorts of treatments. She is a strong believer in the power of prayer and the power of God providing healing. She spreads positivity and light, optimism as well as truth through her blog, and tries to always live the cancer life to the absolute fullest!

Holly is a spectacular blogger, devoted wife to her husband Mark, strong believer in her faith, and a passionate animal lover (she is especially fond of her cats)! She is also very outdoorsy, loves to travel, and cherishes time spent with her family and friends. Holly’s breast cancer journey began in May 2018 after she received a diagnosis of Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer from a lump found by her doctor at a regularly scheduled appointment. After a year of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical procedures, she was considered N-E-D (no evidence of disease). At this point she continued treatment in the form of an oral chemotherapy for another few months until she was officially considered to be in remission. Since then, her cancer has returned and she is currently undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, Xchiva (bone mets) shots, and more. She experiences side effects such as nausea/vomiting, fatigue, ear ringing, and neuropathy in her hands and feet. Although she lives in Baton Rouge, she travels to Kansas City for her treatments and scans. Holly is a strong believer in the power of prayer and the power of God providing healing. She spreads positivity and light, optimism as well as truth, and tries to always live life to the absolute fullest!
