This week Stephanie is talking with journalist, host, actress and producer, Marisa Sullivan. She’s a spunky, highly successful entertainment journalist turned health writer.

Marisa is currently a correspondent for GIDDY Sexual Health & Wellness and interviews celebrities on impactful topics.  She has also hosted on-camera for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, and Grammys carpets, just to name a few.

Marisa really opens up and shares how she navigated through her cancer journey. Activities such as poetry writing really helped her to get through the darker days of cancer treatments.  Regardless of where you are in your life, there are great lessons here.

Listen in as she shares her experiences, biggest lessons, and newfound passions.  Cancer reignited her first passion, which is creative writing, and she is already working on her first novel!

Marisa Sullivan

Marisa Sullivan is a journalist, host, actress and producer living in Downtown Los Angeles and originally hails from Chicago.

Marisa has worked as an entertainment journalist in L.A. for nearly a decade, her longest run for Us Weekly magazine (five years on staff as a Senior Reporter and now freelance) where she has also hosted on-camera for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and Grammys carpets to name a few. She covered the 2017 MTV VMAs for Variety magazine and she graced the TMZ newsroom in 2017 as a Senior Producer, covering hard-hitting breaking news stories like the tragic Manchester bombing. Marisa has also appeared on many other TV networks, for shows like “The Soup” on E! and Showtime’s “The Real L Word.” Marisa even got kicked off of “The Howard Stern Show” back in the day. Yes, she is the female Hunter S. Thompson … or at least thinks she is!

Marisa is a music fanatic, has managed many artists, and when she’s not interviewing legends like Slash at his home, she spends her free time traveling and hobnobbing backstage at rock shows, leaving a memorable impression wherever she may roam.
