This week is the final of our special episodes for breast cancer awareness month, and Stephanie is speaking with Integrated Wellness Coach and third generation breast cancer survivor, Paula Heard. 

From never getting to meet her grandmother to growing up with a mother who lived in fear of it, Paula shares how this disease touched her life and led her to  pursue a career around wellness and functional medicine.  She also shares the story of her own fight against breast cancer nearly twenty  years ago. 

Listen as Paula and Stephanie discuss making the decision to not live in fear,  the advancements in functional medicine, the gifts and life-long friends that have come from this journey, and the advice she would give to someone who was recently diagnosed

Paula Heard

Paula Heard is a third generation breast cancer survivor. Her grandmother died from the disease when her mother was only 16.

Her mother, Roby Gray, had a breast cancer lesion that was found in her right breast at age 95. It is believed to be a new primary tumor. She was a 30 yrs survivor at that time. She passed on April 13, 2020, 3 weeks shy of 96.
