There’s a cost associated with not fully understanding how mortgage lending works. Not knowing how to get pre-approved for a home loan, the home loan pre-approval process, overlooking first time home buyer programs, or even not being aware of simple home buyer tips results in costly losses and denials that can stall your dreams and cost you thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars.
The facts are shocking. The vast majority of consumers financing homes have a negative experience rather than a positive one. In the United States, there are millions of mortgage transactions every year. Unfortunately, 70 percent of mortgage loans do not close on time or are denied at the last moment, leaving a trail of devastation.
What do you say we change that?
My name is Stephanie Weeks, and I've been a mortgage lender for nearly 15 years. I've been extremely successful and happy with all the customers who I've been able to help, but I felt a calling to make more of an impact. Lending is constantly changing, and the information is overwhelming and unclear. You deserve to know how to make the best home buying and mortgage decisions and to avoid delays, unforeseen costs, and having your home loan denied.

The biggest challenge I’ve recognized is that consumers don't know what they don't know.
As I started to receive the same questions time and time again from my clients, I began to search for effective resources and books that I could share with them. I continually came up empty-handed. I realized it was my duty to write it. My mission is to change the world, one loan at a time -- starting with you. However, this requires having the right information at your disposal.
I've written Mortgage Peace in order to transform the mortgage industry and help every potential homebuyer, seller, investor, and/or person refinancing. In The Dharma Project Blog, I’ll break down the information to help you learn what you don't know and better understand the process so you can protect yourself as a consumer.
Let’s close the gap between what you do and don’t know to help guide you towards success in mortgage lending.
Everyone has different goals when pursuing mortgage loans. What are yours? Do you want to:
